Recently I was the guest speaker at The Comic Book Project's 10th annual NYC citywide celebration! (This took place at the Upper East Side Barnes & Noble.)
The kids in this program create their own comics, which were showcased here at the event. They made comics about everything from school bullying to fantasy stories. Students, educators, and parents from all over the city came out to celebrate their hard work, then awards and art supplies were given out as prizes. It's a great community of comics lovers! (And quite an attentive audience I must say.) I can't wait to see what these kids are gonna make when they grow up!
